What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting (BSP) is a new psychotherapy approach that theorizes that the field of vision can be used to locate eye positions that correlate with relevance to inner neural and emotional experience. Brainspotting and the Therapist
Brainspotting (BSP) is based on the profound attunement of the therapist with the patient, finding a somatic cue and extinguishing it by down-regulating the amygdala.
It complements many therapies such as sensorimotor psychotherapy and allows you to use your existing skills.
It gives the therapist a greatly expanded tool box and follows (rather than leads) the client through a journey of neurobiological, physiological resolution.
